Roman specializes in banking and finance, financial regulation and commercial litigation.  Over the last few years he has worked for a variety of banks and financial institutions, including advising on several bank “expansion” projects for various international banking groups.  Roman also has excellent experience in intellectual property matters.

In addition, Roman worked for the Moldovan Ministry of Justice’s Foreclosure and Enforcement Department in relation to debt recovery and collection.  In this role, he assisted in the drafting and implementation of the current legislation in this field.

Recent experience includes:

  • assisted a large Austrian banking group with issues related to its loan portfolio;
  • advised a large Italian/Austrian bank with its possible entry into the Moldovan market;
  • advised a large Ukrainian conglomerate on intellectual property and trademark matters on the territory of Moldova;
  • represented one of the largest micro financing institution in Moldova on a wide range of issues, including financial regulatory matters and debt recovery;
  • supervised and monitored the process of legal enforcement of court decisions on national and local level and drafted legislation in the field of compulsory legal enforcement of judicial decisions.
